Responsibilities
- Provide effective contribution at Trust Board level, offering independent scrutiny, professional insight and constructive challenge to support robust, evidence-based decision-making and ensure high standards of governance.
- Support the development, oversight and delivery of the Trust's strategic objectives, ensuring alignment with NHS priorities, improved patient outcomes, service quality, safety and long-term sustainability.
- Participate actively in Board committees and decision-making forums, ensuring appropriate systems of assurance, risk management and internal control are in place and operating effectively.
- Promote a culture consistent with NHS values, demonstrating leadership in equality, diversity and inclusion, and supporting a compassionate, respectful and high-performing organisational environment.
- Contribute to monitoring organisational performance across quality, finance and workforce, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation in service delivery.
- Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including patients, staff, partners and system organisations, to enhance collaboration and integrated care.
- Ensure compliance with the highest standards of public life, maintaining integrity, accountability and transparency in all aspects of the role.
