Test Manager

SC (security clearance) required—candidate must hold valid NPPV level clearance. This role is based in Sheffield, with the option to work on a hybrid model 3 days in office and 2 days remote.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Accountable for the completion of test activities on high‑profile, high‑value, complex project deliveries, including secure projects.
• Plan and oversee full lifecycle integration testing from Bid stage through AIS and in‑life, ensuring delivery to agreed quality standards and aligned with the test strategy.
• Create and maintain all testing documentation (plans, reports, scripts) in line with the testing strategy and ensure the integrity of test scripts developed within the team’s remit.
• Manage and allocate work for Test Practitioners, assessing, impacting, co‑ordinating and communicating resources.
• Act as the project‑wide escalation point for all testing matters, liaising with internal and external stakeholders and escalating to the T&V Manager as required.
• Develop plans to define the depth of testing required, data sources and key deliverables in conjunction with technical staff.

What We’d Like to See on Your CV

• Expert level understanding of test and validation processes and procedures.
• Current, valid security clearance to NPPV level.
• Experience with the Winning New Business process and Shipley methods for BT’s bid support, including creative thinking to answer ITT questions and contributing to high‑scoring responses.

Flexible Working

This role offers a hybrid model of 3 days in office and 2 days flexible. You will be required to be at the contractual location 3 days a week with 2 flexible days per week.
