We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Estimator to join a well‑established organisation specialising in electronic security systems. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a wide range of commercial and university projects, with long‑term contract stability and the potential to move into a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate and competitive cost estimates and tenders for security system installations
- Work across systems, including access control, CCTV, intruder alarms and nurse call systems
- Review technical drawings, specifications and tender documentation
- Liaise with clients, suppliers and internal teams to gather project requirements
- Obtain and evaluate supplier/subcontractor quotations
- Identify risks, value engineering opportunities and cost efficiencies
- Support bid submissions and ensure deadlines are met
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within Security Systems
- Strong knowledge of access control, CCTV and intruder systems
- Experience pricing commercial, healthcare or education sector projects
- Ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
What’s on Offer
- £350 per day (outside IR35)
- Weekly pay (every Friday) via payroll company or Ltd company
- Hybrid working – mix of home and Birmingham office
- Long‑term contract with option to go permanent
