Manchester United Women are seeking a Sports Scientist (Data) to support the delivery of sports science provision within the Women’s First Team environment.
Working closely with the Physical Performance Coach and wider multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will contribute to the collection, analysis, and communication of performance data to support player preparation, development, and availability throughout the season.
Key Responsibilities
- Support sports science delivery within the Women’s First Team
- Monitor and record player training and match loads
- Assist with performance data analysis and reporting
- Collaborate with coaching, medical, and performance staff
- Support international player monitoring processes
- Contribute to research, innovation, and ongoing projects
- Engage in continual professional development
Essential Requirements
- BSc & MSc in Sports Science or related discipline
- Experience or placement exposure within elite sport
- Understanding of football physical demands
- Interest in load monitoring and performance analysis
- Familiarity with systems such as STATSports, Excel, Tableau
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for supporting female athlete development
