The role shapes win strategies, ensuring submissions are competitive, client-focused and clearly articulate the organisation's value proposition.Working closely with directors and senior leadership, the role influences how the business positions itself to clients and drives a consistent, high-quality approach to work-winning. The role also leads, mentors and develops the bid team, while fostering continuous improvement and supporting a high-performing, collaborative environment aligned with organisational objectives.Support senior leadership in go/no go decisions and market prioritisationAllocate resources across concurrent bids to ensure quality and consistency.Lead and oversee major, strategic and complex bids from opportunity qualification through to submissionEnsure bid approaches align with wider business, sector and client strategiesLead internal settlement, compliance and governance reviews.Shape and drive bid strategies, win themes and value propositionsEnsure bids clearly articulate differentiation, certainty, risk management and client valueSupport business development activity, client engagement and strategic pursuitsAct as a senior interface with Directors, Managing Directors and Business Unit leadsLine manage and mentor Bid Managers and Bid CoordinatorsEmbed best practice, continuous improvement and consistency across all submissions.Support preparation of executive summaries, board papers, and approval documentationSet and maintain the standard for written quality, visual presentation and messagingAct as a guardian of tone, brand and professionalism across all work winning materialDevelop deep understanding of key clients, sectors and competitorsLead post bid reviews and feedback analysis to strengthen future performanceWhat do I need to be successful in this role:Demonstrated ability to influence and engage at senior and executive levelsSignificant experience leading bids for large-scale, complex construction projectsStrong commercial, strategic and client-focused approach to work-winningProven leadership capability, including coaching, mentoring and decision-makingExperience managing multiple high-value, time-critical bid pursuits simultaneouslyExperience leading and managing high-performing teams, including setting direction, providing feedback and supporting development.A note on diversity:Diversity is about celebrating the ways we are all different and appreciating the unique qualities that every employee brings.
