Supported Living Manager – Learning Disabilities & Mental Health

Overview
A supported living provider in the Stevenage area is seeking an experienced Supported Living Manager to oversee services supporting adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs. This is a well-supported management position overseeing a small service, ideal for someone stepping up from a Team Leader or Deputy Manager role, or an existing manager seeking a stable and supportive environment.
About the Role
As Supported Living Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day management of services supporting approximately 8–10 clients, ensuring high standards of person-centred care and support. You will work closely with an experienced Team Lead and report directly to the Operations Manager, contributing to service quality, staff development, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations across supported living services
- Ensure delivery of safe, person-centred support for adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs
- Supervise and support care and support staff
- Maintain compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards
- Monitor care plans, risk assessments, and service documentation
- Support staff development, rota management, and performance monitoring
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Team Leader, Deputy Manager, or Supported Living Manager
- Background within learning disabilities and/or mental health services
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and CQC compliance
- Good leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care
