Transport Supervisor (Northallerton)

Staffline are recruiting for a Transport Supervisor in Northallerton.

The rate of pay is £17.95 per hour.

This is a temporary cover role working Monday to Friday 11.00am – 19.00pm.

Responsibilities

• Enhancing the customer’s experience
• Carrying out duties as defined by the Transport Manager
• Supervising the analysis of the Drivers Hours, Working Time Directive and DIGI cards
• Day to day team management of all staff within the distribution operation
• Undertaking the team supervision of a number of people across one or more Supply Chain Sites
• Developing and maintaining effective relationships with key suppliers and internal business partners
• Supporting the management team who have responsibility for maintaining all operating costs and managing within budget
• Coaching and developing team members to the standard required to meet business targets
• Having flexibility towards working pattern and overtime to support operational needs and Working Time Directive rules

Requirements

• Ability to work as part of a team or individually
• Effective communication skills
• Good time management and punctuality
• Previous experience in a similar role is essential
