The AWS Infrastructure Energy Team (IET) is seeking a results‑oriented individual to serve as Grid Delivery Manager. This role is responsible for delivering large‑scale critical HV/MV grid interconnection projects within EMEA under tight deadlines.
Key job responsibilities
- Deliver large‑scale critical HV/MV grid interconnection projects within EMEA under tight deadlines.
- Lead the grid infrastructure delivery program, standardize processes, develop tools for delivery execution, and support financial budgeting.
- Communicate and collaborate with diverse teams such as design engineering, construction, planning, environmental, and real estate teams to ensure delivery to tight timelines.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and provide weekly reporting on key project risks and issues to senior management, directors, and vice presidents.
- Drive program execution from design to energization for HV & MV infrastructure projects and programs.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, construction management, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience delivering HV & MV infrastructure projects/programs from design to energization.
- Experience building power substations working with utilities and understanding their environment and culture.
- Experience dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering measurable results in an agile environment.
- Experience building and cultivating relationships with internal and external stakeholders; willing to travel up to 20% of the time.
- Experience analyzing cost/benefit trade‑offs across a strategic portfolio and demonstrating understanding of transacting business in multiple cultural contexts; experience directly managing international teams is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in data centers or critical infrastructure.
- Master’s Degree (MBA/MS) and/or PMP Certification preferred.
- Experience designing substations or other energy infrastructure.
- Experience working for utilities and with or for energy regulators.
- Ability to communicate in additional languages.
