My client is seeking an experienced Planning Conservation Specialist to work with a Council Planning Department on a 6‑month initial contract, likely extendable to 12 months. The role can be worked on a hybrid basis.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in conservation or a related field
• Strong knowledge and understanding of conservation legislation and policy
• Experience providing advice on conservation and heritage matters in a planning context, including listed building consents
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• An enthusiastic and proactive approach to work
