Salary: £31,751 – £35,163 (inclusive of local weighting)

We are looking for someone like you to join our team! If we are a good fit for you, you will have the opportunity to deal with various regulatory regimes, including alcohol, entertainment, gambling, taxis, markets, street trading, charity collections and more. You will be a key part in achieving compliance and ensuring public safety by advising customers and processing applications for various permissions and licences.

Responsibilities

  • Process applications in accordance with procedures and the law
  • Provide up-to-date and accurate information to applicants and objectors for any licence application; organisers of unregulated events; key stakeholders and partner agencies.
  • Record and maintain comprehensive records.
  • Generate licence renewal applications, record applications received and issue licences.

About you

  • Knowledge of licensing, community safety or emergency planning (desirable but not essential).
  • A methodical and accurate approach to work.
  • The ability to plan, prioritise and manage your own workload.
  • The ability to communicate at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
  • Contributed to the efficient functioning of a team through completion of your own tasks.
