Within our Facilities Management division, the Southwest Core team plays a crucial role in the day-to-day delivery of reactive and preventative works across a diverse range of properties and systems within our client's sites – as a Site Service Manager. Within the team, you will be expected to provide comprehensive repairs and maintenance to a range of commercial instillations.

Position:

The Site Service Manager is responsible for the management of day-to-day operational site activities ensuring that BJF Group’s site procedures and processes are in place and operating effectively.

To ensure that all works and activities undertaken by both the Delivery team and Supply Chain are provided to the required standard and in accordance with BJF Group and the client’s policy and procedures.

The Site Service Manager is also expected to provide leadership, motivation, mentoring and line management responsibilities for the site-based teams.

  • Operational: PPM’s Reactive Works, Small Works
  • Financial and Commercial Management: This post will carry indirect budgetary responsibility.
  • Contribute technical/specialist advice to client.
  • Where issues arise adhere to the agreed Escalation Process to maintain Contract Governance.
  • Plan and execute efficient delivery of all Planned Maintenance tasks to ensure both statutory and mandatory Compliance.
  • Ensure site is statutory compliant, provide BJF Group with assurance and identifying compliance failures and mitigating action and elevate where appropriate.
  • Consult with client to ensure priorities are appropriate.
  • Provide cost information to Line Management to progress chargeable works.
  • Ensure delivery of works, where necessary interfacing with the Site Management and customer to confirm requirements.
  • Support Contract Manager with organising team members workloads to be a fully efficient use of their time.
  • Make regular checks on all tool and equipment being used by team members to ensure working correctly record any information

Requirements for the Site Service Manager:

  • Hold an industry recognised based qualification i.e., City & Guilds / NVQ or similar in an appropriate engineering subject.
  • Hold an industry recognised H&S qualification (Iosh or similar).
  • Managerial experience at supervisor level within technical and or hard services background.
  • Proven experience in both recruitment and line management of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, at all levels.
  • To be numerate and computer literate.
  • Excellent motivational and influencing skills, with high levels of personal integrity.
