Lead Portfolio Delivery Manager – Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency

You’ll join DVSA as a Lead Portfolio Delivery Manager, acting as the head of Agile Delivery within a core value stream.

In this role, you will:

• Lead a major delivery portfolio and shape how digital services are delivered
• Work alongside senior leaders across Digital, Operations and Policy
• Influence strategy and improve how teams deliver high-impact services
• Build and grow a high-performing, inclusive agile delivery community
• Provide strategic leadership for agile delivery across the agency
• Lead and develop a high-performing delivery community
• Work with senior leaders to ensure delivery aligns with strategic priorities
• Measure success through business outcomes, performance and user value
• Manage risks, issues and dependencies across a large delivery portfolio
• Support teams to resolve complex challenges and unblock delivery
• Drive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
• Ensure delivery meets security, accessibility and compliance standards

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading agile delivery functions
• Experience managing large, cross-functional teams (both direct and virtual)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to influence across Digital, Operations and Policy environments
• Experience managing portfolios, roadmaps, risks and dependencies at a strategic level
• A collaborative approach with the ability to work across multiple disciplines
