London-based media and entertainment company seeks a Snowflake Data Engineer to join their central data team on a permanent basis. This team is pivotal to the company's content strategy, working with one of the industry's most interesting datasets.
This role will place you at the forefront of the company's data initiatives, building the platforms that turn millions of user interactions into actionable insights for creative and commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for high-volume streaming and user engagement data.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in content, production, and marketing to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Conduct data modelling, performance tuning, and optimisation within the Snowflake and dbt environment.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of core data products.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer with specific expertise in Snowflake.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with scripting languages such as Python.
- Hands-on experience with dbt is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of cloud computing environments, particularly AWS.
- Ability to handle large, complex datasets and integrate business logic into designed solutions.
