Hours of Work: 36 Hours Per Week

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Auditor to join an established team in Whitehaven. You will support major national construction projects across the UK, focusing on data analysis, discrepancies identification, and accurate report production.

Main Responsibilities

  • Audit performance and pay levels to ensure uniform application of the Working Rule Agreement pay and conditions throughout the project, achieving a stable industrial relations environment.
  • Identify and discuss any discrepancies found in the reports with contractors, ensuring they are followed up and corrected.
  • Interrogate client timesheets weekly and maintain a database of employees, recording working hours, pay grade, trade, etc., to formulate periodic audit reports.
  • Produce and publish periodic audit reports within the timeframe detailed by the client.
  • Undertake special exercises and examinations on behalf of the client, including audit trending, analysis of productive performance-based schemes and ad‑hoc reports.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Prioritise workloads and work independently.
  • Strong experience using Excel spreadsheets and databases.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Previous audit experience is beneficial but not essential; full training will be provided.
  • Previous experience with Working Rule Agreements such as NAECI, CIJC, and other WRA’s and client-specific agreements; training will be provided.

All candidates must be eligible to work in the UK and able to obtain security clearance.
