The clinical site management team supports the DBTH teams with management of the sites for all acute, elective and emergency inpatients across a number of specialities. The post holder will co‑ordinate new IT developments and compliment multidisciplinary working within the hospital out of hour’s team in partnership with the medical registrar as lead clinician.

The post holder will work alongside the clinical site manager and will act as Hospital@ co‑ordinator using Nervecentre (an electronic task management system for out of hour’s clinical tasks). This includes prioritising the workload of the Hospital@ team, over‑seeing the allocation of tasks to the most appropriately skilled health care professional to ensure appropriate and timely care for acutely ill adults.

To Support The Clinical Site Manager

Coordination of Nervecentre – the electronic task management system for out of hours clinical tasks and participate in clinical handover.

Facilitate an effective patient flow ensuring optimal patient safety, whilst working with the national and local patient access targets to balance the elective and emergency demand.

Provide a consistent source of professional leadership and senior clinical skills to support the wards and medical teams.

Assist in the overnight operational site management of the Trust.

Participate in and co‑ordinate the Trust’s Emergency Response Teams to fire, security alerts, cardiac arrests and other clinical emergencies.

Assist in the co‑ordination and management of major and serious untoward incidents.

When necessary, facilitate the management of the emergency and elective admission process across the Trust.
