The Senior Marketing Executive – Subscriptions & Intelligence is responsible for driving acquisition, engagement and pipeline contribution for HSJ Intelligence, with a focus on organizations supplying services and technology to the NHS. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this role focuses on multi‑channel marketing lead delivery, optimization and performance insight.
Key Responsibilities
- Own acquisition strategy and execution for HSJ Intelligence subscriptions
- Design and deliver multi‑channel marketing campaigns targeting NHS suppliers, particularly the healthcare technology and innovation market
- Convert HSJ.co.uk enquiries, content engagement and event interest into qualified leads and pipeline
- Support upsells and cross‑sell activity across intelligence, data and insight products
Funnel Management & Optimization
- Own upper‑ and mid‑funnel activity for HSJ Intelligence, from first engagement through to sales‑ready lead
- Optimise messaging, value propositions, landing pages and nurture journeys to improve conversion
- Work closely with sales to ensure alignment between campaign activity, lead quality and pipeline outcomes
- Ensure seamless hand‑off into lifecycle and renewal activity managed by the Subscriptions Manager
Insight, Analytics & Reporting
- Track and analyze performance using Salesforce, Tableau and Google Analytics
- Produce clear insight and recommendations for the Head of Marketing and senior stakeholders
- Use data to inform targeting, prioritization and ongoing campaign optimisation
- Maintain a strong understanding of the NHS supplier and healthcare technology market
- Work collaboratively with:
- Subscriptions marketing lead on lifecycle alignment and insight
- Engagement teams to reinforce value and usage messaging
- Product teams to align acquisition messaging with product capability
- Editorial teams to maximise HSJ.co.uk as a top‑of‑funnel driver
- Contribute market and competitor insight to wider go‑to‑market planning
- Manage external suppliers and agencies supporting campaign delivery, as required
- Ensure activity is delivered on‑time, on‑budget and aligned to HSJ brand standards
- Continuously test and refine creative, messaging and channel mix
Experience
Preferred Background – B2B campaign marketer, ideally within healthcare, plus experience of:
- Background in B2B subscription, insight or SaaS‑style marketing including multi‑channel and multi‑variant marketing campaigns
- Working closely with sales team for maximum channel success
- Building lead pipeline / lead generation and nurturing
- Effective use of content and media in engagement
- Stakeholder management and communication skills
- Coordinate production of sales collateral/assets
- Effectively budget use supporting the best ROI and engagement.
- Utilising external agencies such as PPC to maximise campaigns.
IT
- Marketing automation platforms – such as Marketo, Pardot.
- Advanced level of Microsoft capabilities i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. SharePoint experience an advantage.
- CRM (Salesforce, MS Dynamics, or similar).
- Content Management Systems.
- Google Analytics, Webtrends, Tableau or similar an advantage.
- Experience of Canva, Adobe photoshop or similar
- PPC including Google Ads and Linked‑in
- Marketing degree or equivalent qualification
- Working with data and digital products
- Experience of working within and understanding of the UK healthcare and private medical sector
