Maintenance Engineer – Wincanton, Somerset
Salary: GBP45,500 – GBP47,500. Hours: Monday – Friday, early finish on Friday. Holidays: 33 days, increasing holiday, additional leave for birthday, electric charging, career progression, and development.
Role and Responsibilities
- Planned maintenance inspections, review parts used.
- Recommend improvements in line with projects and maintenance schedules, carry out safety checks on range of equipment.
- Monitor plant conditions, report defects, repair of machinery.
- Generate and maintain compliance to SOPs, risk assessments.
- Report on plant performance using systems, ensure action on non-conformance issues.
- Work on a range of valves and pumps.
- Support production and continuous improvement projects.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Formal Engineering Qualification: C and G Level 3, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship trained.
- Continuous improvement knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of good engineering standards.
- Experience in food, packaging, drink, manufacturing environments.
