We are working with a leading UK food manufacturing business operating within a high-volume FMCG production environment, supplying well-known consumer products across the UK. The site is a large, highly automated facility with significant investment in both equipment and engineering capability, driving a strong focus on reliability, efficiency and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance across high-speed production and packaging equipment
- Respond to breakdowns quickly and effectively to minimise downtime
- Diagnose and repair faults across mechanical and electrical systems
- Support root cause analysis to eliminate repeat failures
- Work closely with production teams to ensure efficient machine performance
- Support continuous improvement and reliability projects across the site
- Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in line with health and safety standards
- Maintain accurate records using CMMS systems
Skills & Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 / C&G / BTEC in Engineering (Electrical bias)
- Apprentice-trained Maintenance Engineer
- Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing or high-speed production environments
- Strong fault-finding ability across electrical and mechanical systems
- Understanding of PLC fault finding and SCADA systems (advantageous)
- Proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement
- Strong team working and communication skills
