Test Engineer

We are working with a leading manufacturer in Leighton Buzzard who are looking for a Test Engineer on a 6‑to‑12‑month contract basis. The role will plan, organise and execute development and qualification testing activities and produce high‑quality technical documentation in support of product and system verification and validation programs. The successful candidate will be well versed working in a testing focused role with an electrical bias.

6‑12 month contract (Inside IR35). Day rate dependent on experience. Location: Leighton Buzzard.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver development and qualification testing activities.
• Prepare and execute test campaigns, including test set‑ups and instrumentation.
• Produce accurate and compliant technical documentation (Test Plans, Procedures, Reports).
• Contribute to the development, improvement and safe operation of test facilities, rigs and processes.

Essential Skills, Experience & Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with electrical products in development and/or qualification testing.
• Experience in development and qualification testing using a range of test equipment and data acquisition systems.
• Knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems to support test rig set‑up.
• Experience producing Test plans, procedures and reports.
