Residential Care Officer – Seaview Respite Unit
Residential Care Officer at Seaview Short Breaks Service.
Salary: £34,452 – £40,501. Hours: 36 per week.
Responsibilities
- Provide residential services, emergency admissions, outreach, respite, throughcare and aftercare, secure care, and services for young people with disabilities.
- Work independently and out with the residential setting as required.
- Ensure safe and continued operation of services in the absence of Team Leader or Assistant Team Leaders.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of a nurturing environment in which the needs of young people—physical, emotional, psychological, cultural and educational—are paramount.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Regulated work with children or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
- Candidate must join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
- Overseas Criminal Record Check required for any continuous overseas period of 3 months or more in the last 5 years.
- Experience in residential care for young people.
