Office Manager – Runcorn

Seeking a highly organised and proactive Office Manager to join a friendly, growing team. This is a pivotal role within the business, responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office while providing essential administrative and project support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the general management of the office, ensuring all operations run efficiently
  • Look after a small team and be the first port of call in the absence of the director
  • Ensure all tasks and processes are completed accurately and on time
  • Purchase ledger, client accounts, variations on contracts, sales invoices
  • Coordinate and monitor cleaning staff to maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Check and manage incoming deliveries, ensuring all items are correctly received and recorded
  • Carry out a wide range of administrative duties to support the team
  • Order materials and supplies as required
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the timely delivery of services and goods
  • Raise purchase orders (PO numbers) and subcontractor purchase orders
  • Provide administrative support to ongoing projects
  • Review reports, including RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements), ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Prepare and present client-facing reports to a high standard
  • Compile and maintain clear, professional site notes and documentation

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience in an Office Management or Senior Administrative role
  • Ideally come from a construction background
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicator, both written and verbal
  • Experience liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general administrative systems
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative

Monday – Friday Office-Based

Salary £30,000-£35,000
