The Building Improvement Compliance Team is responsible for carrying out administrative processes that support Council properties in meeting current housing legislation, with a particular focus on electrical compliance. The team works closely with colleagues across Homes and Neighbourhoods, as well as external contractors, to ensure required works are completed and that health and safety compliance data is accurately recorded across a range of systems for the housing stock.

This role involves a variety of administrative duties, including accurate data entry, raising, and processing orders, maintaining records, and supporting the team with day‑to‑day tasks. You will be responsible for keeping systems up to date and ensuring processes operate efficiently. The role requires regular use of SAP, Workflow 360, and other relevant systems to support compliance activities, including the accurate recording, monitoring, and reporting of compliance information. You will need to work effectively to agreed timescales and deadlines, managing competing priorities to ensure both statutory and operational requirements are met.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, flexible, and able to manage a wide range of tasks. They will work well as part of a team and communicate effectively to provide good customer service to colleagues and support the timely completion of tasks. A high level of attention to detail is essential, particularly when reviewing and validating critical information to ensure accuracy and completeness in support of full compliance.

This salary is subject to the Living Wage supplement, which brings pay rates up to £13.45 per hour (scp 4 & 5). This supplement will be reviewed in April 2027 and thereafter annually in April. Cardiff Council reserves the right to make any changes to, or removal of, the Living Wage supplement.
