We offer an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Compliance Co‑ordinator. This is a full‑time, permanent position located in Edinburgh City Centre. You'll work a standard 35‑hour week Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm and earn £23,500 per annum.

What the job involves for a Compliance Administrator

  • Instructing, chasing and updating safety record data to ensure the rental properties remain compliant with current regulations.
  • Ensuring Landlord and Tenants understand legal responsibilities for compliance when managing day‑to‑day requests and clarifying customer responsibilities for access to the property.
  • Managing the day‑to‑day mailboxes and contact of Landlords, Tenants and Contractors in a timely manner to ensure communication lines are followed and recorded.
  • Working with contractors to ensure work is instructed, booked in, and carried out in a timely manner and to the correct standard to maintain a good working relationship.
  • Instructing any relevant maintenance issues as necessary for compliance.
  • Delivering a high standard of customer service and accuracy of data reporting.
  • Working with other Departments to assist with the start‑up, continuation and off‑boarding of properties to ensure they are and remain legally compliant.
  • Working with the team, senior coordinators and team leader to ensure KPIs are achieved and escalating any issues when appropriate.

What we’re looking for

  • Previous property/letting industry or contractor experience is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided along with ongoing coaching.
  • Excellent attention to detail to keep all safety certificates compliant.
  • Great verbal and nonverbal communication skills.
  • Ability to delegate.
  • Strong customer service skills to handle difficult situations.
  • Good organisational skills and problem‑solving ability.
  • Good communication/negotiation skills and competence in resolving conflict and potential disputes.
  • Confidence in relaying information.
  • Problem‑solving attitude.
  • Ability to prioritise and multi‑task.
  • Remain calm under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Good IT skills – experience with MS Office, Reapit and Fixflo is desirable but not essential.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
