Job Title: Program Manager

Salary: £79,424 + per annum dependent upon experience

Location: Peterborough, UK

Job Summary

In this role you will be a Program Manager within the IPSD-M Product Management team, reporting to the 2.8l to 3.6l Product Manager. You will own and deliver multiple, complex projects that support both current product requirements and future New Product Introduction (NPI) needs. You will work with and coordinate multiple cross‑functional project teams across different sites covering projects that range from new business opportunities to product phase out. You will be part of a team responsible for delivering and maintaining world‑class engines and power systems across a range of market segments, meeting the challenges of today and preparing for the opportunities of the future.

What You Will Do

  • Own and lead critical product‑related projects, following the corporate New Product Introduction and other standard processes.
  • Engage with multi‑functional teams to ensure successful delivery of project deliverables.
  • Provide project leadership for tactical and strategic projects that support platform needs (2.8l‑3.6l).
  • Oversee creation of project plans and maintain the plan schedule in support of Gateway/Customer introduction needs – ensuring program financials, functional requirements, cost targets and Gateway commitments are met.
  • Communicate program status to stakeholders and the broader organization ensuring alignment on progress and direction.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional team reviews to evaluate opportunities, address and resolve issues and remove barriers.
  • Support issue resolution to problems using structured and methodical approach to root cause.
  • Identify, evaluate and deliver against opportunities to optimise cost and profitability for the platform (2.8l‑3.6l). Report‑out progress to senior stakeholders.
  • Work closely with other Product and Program Managers to ensure that projects are aligned with platforms’ long‑term strategic requirements and 5‑to‑10 year technology plan, in terms of volume growth and technology evolution.
  • Identify and coordinate process improvement initiatives, aligned to enterprise lean methodologies.

Project Leadership: Ability to plan, organise, monitor, and lead a set of projects, ensuring efficient utilisation of technical and administrative resources to achieve desired outcome.

Effective Communication: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviours.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Experience in decision‑making, fact‑based tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyse situations and reach productive conclusions based on informed judgment under time pressure.

Customer Focus: Understanding of the customer needs and priorities. Ability to translate into requirements and monitor and report on delivery as well as facilitate customer feedback, issue management and solution development.

Accountability and Team Working: Keen sense of accountability, excellent team working skills with personal drive, flexible approach, and a commitment to ensure our platform / customer program are delivered on‑time to complex technical, quality & cost targets.

Collaboration Globally: Knowledge of effective collaboration techniques and ability to build networks with people from different countries and cultures; think and work with them to bring positive impact and flourishing business results.
