The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced Transport Manager or a capable Transport Supervisor looking for the next step. You will oversee all day‑to‑day transport activities, manage a busy fleet, and lead a team of drivers delivering high‑value, fragile products.
Experience with glass, glazing, or window/door transportation will be a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily transport operations, ensuring efficient and timely deliveries
- Oversee fleet maintenance, inspections, compliance, and vehicle scheduling
- Help to support, and develop a small team of drivers
- Ensure safe handling and transportation of glass, glazing units, and window/door products
- Optimise routes, vehicle utilisation, and delivery performance
- Maintain full compliance with transport legislation and company standards
- Work closely with production and customer service teams to maintain high service levels
- Monitor KPIs, costs, and operational performance to drive continuous improvement
About You

Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience as a Transport Manager or Transport Supervisor ready to step up
- Strong understanding of transport operations, fleet management, and compliance
- Experience in glass, glazing, fenestration, or building products (highly desirable)
- The transport manager or supervisor will have knowledge of transporting fragile or oversized goods
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to problem‑solve and make decisions under pressure
- CPC qualification is beneficial but not essential
