The Role


This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced Transport Manager or a capable Transport Supervisor looking for the next step. You will oversee all day‑to‑day transport activities, manage a busy fleet, and lead a team of drivers delivering high‑value, fragile products.


Experience with glass, glazing, or window/door transportation will be a significant advantage.


Key Responsibilities



  • Manage daily transport operations, ensuring efficient and timely deliveries

  • Oversee fleet maintenance, inspections, compliance, and vehicle scheduling

  • Help to support, and develop a small team of drivers

  • Ensure safe handling and transportation of glass, glazing units, and window/door products

  • Optimise routes, vehicle utilisation, and delivery performance

  • Maintain full compliance with transport legislation and company standards

  • Work closely with production and customer service teams to maintain high service levels

  • Monitor KPIs, costs, and operational performance to drive continuous improvement

Essential Skills & Experience



  • Experience as a Transport Manager or Transport Supervisor ready to step up

  • Strong understanding of transport operations, fleet management, and compliance

  • Experience in glass, glazing, fenestration, or building products (highly desirable)

  • The transport manager or supervisor will have knowledge of transporting fragile or oversized goods

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Ability to problem‑solve and make decisions under pressure

  • CPC qualification is beneficial but not essential
