Role Overview

This role is for a Quality Inspector with a strong bias towards welding inspection and shop floor quality control. You will be responsible for ensuring that products, components, and assemblies meet internal standards and customer requirements, supporting both in-process and final inspection activities.

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Carry out in-process and final inspections on products, components, and assemblies
  • Verify compliance with technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards
  • Inspect welds and fabrication work to ensure workmanship meets required standards
  • Identify, record, and report non‑conformances
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues
  • Ensure inspection equipment is used correctly and maintained/calibrated
  • Support internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Promote a strong quality and safety culture across the shop floor

The Individual – Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong background in quality inspection within a manufacturing / engineering environment
  • Solid understanding of welding processes and fabrication
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Experience using measuring equipment (verniers, micrometers, gauges)
  • Familiar with welding inspection standards (CSWIP preferred or working towards)
