Position Overview

We are in search of a highly commercial strategic FD at a pivotal time to play a crucial role in shaping the financial strategy of NoteMachine UK. The FD is responsible for ensuring financial stability and driving business growth. The successful candidate will lead financial planning and analysis, manage financial risks, and contribute to the overall strategic direction of NoteMachine UK.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Financial Strategy: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's business goals. Provide strategic financial guidance to the general manager and executive team.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling. Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision‑making processes.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Implement effective internal controls and financial policies.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and report on financial performance against key performance indicators. Provide regular financial updates to the executive team and board of directors.
  • Capital Management: Optimize capital structure and manage liquidity effectively. Evaluate and recommend investment opportunities to maximize returns.
  • Financial Reporting & Controllership: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with relevant accounting standards while maintaining proper controls. Lead the preparation of monthly financial statements compliant with local regulations, tax laws and US GAAP & IFRS. Collaborate with internal and external auditors to complete annual audits.

Key Deliverables

  • Financial Plans: Lead the preparation of short‑term and long‑term financial forecasts to support strategic decision‑making.
  • Financial Risk Mitigation: Implement strategies to identify and mitigate financial risks effectively.
  • Accurate Financial Reports: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to support decision‑making.
  • Controllership: Produce monthly financial statements compliant with local financial regulations, tax laws and international accounting standards. Collaborate with auditors for annual audits.
  • Optimised Capital Structure: Maintain an optimal capital structure to support business growth and stability.
  • Budget Adherence: Monitor and manage budgetary performance, providing insights for improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role. Track record of successful financial management in a comparable industry.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.

Desirable:

  • Master's Degree: Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Finance and/or professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the financial services industry, especially cash management and ATM services.
  • International Experience: Experience working in a multinational or diverse business environment.

Key Knowledge and Skills

  • Financial Regulations: Up‑to‑date knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.
  • Technology Proficiency: Proficient in financial management software and ERP systems.
