IT Support Engineer | Security | Infrastructure | Networking Belfast (Multi-Site) | Permanent |

£35,000 – £40,000

Ocho People is partnering with a well-established, multi-site business to find a capable IT Support Engineer ready to take ownership across a broad technical remit.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys variety, wants genuine exposure across security, infrastructure, and networking, and is looking to grow in a complex, fast-moving environment.

The Opportunity

You will join a lean IT function and be a key technical resource across the business, covering:

  • Day-to-day 2nd line support and incident resolution
  • Security operations: working with SIEM platforms, monitoring alerts, and contributing to policy and process improvements
  • Infrastructure management: Windows Server, virtualisation (VMware), and core business systems
  • Network support: firewalls, VPN configuration, DNS/DHCP, and multi-site connectivity
  • Cloud and telephony: supporting cloud-based phone systems, remote access solutions, and hybrid cloud environments
  • Contributing to IT projects and infrastructure upgrades as the business continues to evolve

What We Are Looking For

  • Solid background in a 2nd line IT support or infrastructure-focused role
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory
  • Practical exposure to networking concepts, virtualisation, or security tooling
  • Comfortable working across multiple sites and occasionally travelling within the UK and Europe
  • Self-sufficient, with a methodical approach to problem-solving and a proactive attitude

Why This Role

The organisation is at a point where IT is becoming more central to how the business operates. That means real project involvement, genuine breadth of work, and a clear path toward specialisation in infrastructure, networking, or security depending on where your interests lie.
