South Lanarkshire Crematorium, 31 Sydes Brae, Blantyre, G72 0TL Monday – Friday (during the hours of 8am – 5pm, pattern under review) with weekend and public holiday working required Community and Enterprise Resources are seeking to appoint a Crematorium Assistant within South Lanarkshire Crematorium, Blantyre. The successful applicant will be working within a small team and as such due to the extremely sensitive nature of working in a crematorium are expected to perform tasks in a dignified and professional manner. Applicants should have excellent communication and customer care skills with the ability to work as part of a team or independently. You should be able to demonstrate a sound working knowledge of a crematorium and be comfortable and confident speaking in public. This role includes working within the grounds of the crematorium on an as needed basis to assist in maintaining the high standard of the grounds. Service room operations (including guiding mourners, assisting funeral directors, manage music/webcast/slideshow requirements on services Maintaining high standards of housekeeping of service room during working day Grounds maintenance work including grass cutting, planting, small construction work

The service provides services throughout the year an in all types of weather. Service provision includes public holidays and weekends, it is therefore an essential criterion that the successful candidates are expected to be available to work during these times and conditions.
