We are currently recruiting for a Night Shift Production Line Operative on behalf of a well-established and expanding food manufacturer based on the outskirts of Colchester, Essex. This company specialises in the production of food-based products and is offering a long-term opportunity with excellent potential for career growth.

Job Overview:

This is a temp-to-perm position ideal for someone seeking stable, consistent night work.
Prior experience in a production or factory setting is beneficial but not essential – the key attributes we're looking for are reliability, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work well as part of a team.

Please note: Due to the site's rural location and limited access to public transport, own transport is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting at various stages of the production line (loading, monitoring, packing)

Visual inspection and grading of raw materials

Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards

Adhering to all food safety and hygiene protocols

Final packing and palletising of finished goods

Supporting the team with general production duties as needed

Candidate Requirements:

Previous experience in manufacturing, production, or FMCG environment is advantageous

Reliable, punctual, and flexible with shift availability

Strong attention to detail and good communication skills

Must have own transport and live within a commutable distance of Colchester

Willingness to work overtime when required

Shift Pattern & Pay:

Night shift: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

£ per hour

Optional weekend overtime available on Saturdays OR Sundays, 7:00PM – 2:00AM, paid at an enhanced rate

Free on-site parking
