Job Description
As an Assistant Financial Controller, you will take on a variety of key responsibilities:
Finance and Accounting Leadership
Oversee preparation and review of monthly departmental P&Ls, quarterly and annual financial statements, and annual budgets.
Partner with external advisors on statutory accounts and tax computations.
Ensure timely and accurate compliance with all financial and tax reporting requirements, including VAT, payroll taxes and corporate income tax.
Provide documentation and support for internal/external audits.
Identify and lead costu2011reduction and efficiency initiatives.
Contribute to financial strategy, business planning, and operational execution.
Act as a business partner to district operations management, offering financial insights and expertise.
Support the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
Compliance
Ensure full adherence to statutory, fiscal, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting.
Champion a culture of compliance and ethical conduct.
Communicate proactively with finance teams to ensure understanding of policies and regulatory changes.
A professionally qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) is preferred.
Proven experience in finance.
Broad finance and accounting experience.
Deep knowledge of tax and regulatory requirements is advantageous.
