The successful candidate will become part of an exciting fast paced team carrying out initial assessments for people across all age groups within the Garnock Valley and North Coast areas not already involved with social work. This is an early intervention team, listening to and supporting people in order to assess their needs and signpost to the most appropriate resources within the community/family and statutory services. The successful candidate will work alongside another Social Work Assistant and Social Workers and supported by the Team Manager. The working hours will be 2 days one week and 3 the following week fulfilling 35 hours fortnightly. North Ayrshire Council uses behavioural based approach throughout the recruitment process. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007.
