Are you an experienced Head of MFL or exemplary Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages who is looking for a new opportunity from September 2026? Can you deliver and manage a mid‑sized faculty of French & Spanish teachers and help in the progression of the wider school?
Responsibilities
- Lead MFL across the school – KS3 to KS5.
- Develop and manage the progress of a wide MFL curriculum.
- Boost the ability of staff – support growth and training.
- Lead on enrichment elements of the MFL curriculum – exchange programmes, school trips, etc.
- Plan and deliver exciting lessons – share practice with partner MFL teachers.
- Report to the SLT.
- Contribute to the plans of the wider school.
- Lead on strategies to boost attainment.
- Monitor pupil progress and evaluate progress plans.
Person Specification
- Must have QTS – Qualified Teacher Status.
- Must be an experienced teacher or leader of MFL.
- Ability to lead on the academic and enrichment elements of an MFL curriculum.
- Must have high standards and expectations.
- Understand the demands of the new curriculum.
