Site Agent / Site Manager – Civil Engineering & Water Infrastructure Projects
Location: Nottinghamshire | Salary: £51,000 – £60,000 | Type: Permanent | Hours: Full Time
The Opportunity
A leading UK civil engineering and infrastructure contractor seeks an experienced Site Agent / Site Manager to join their delivery team on high-profile infrastructure projects within regulated environments in the water and civils sectors.

Key Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the successful delivery of civil engineering projects, ensuring works are delivered defect-free and in line with specification
- Lead site teams including sub-agents, engineers and foremen where required
- Produce and implement project plans, RAMS, ITPs and environmental management plans
- Manage the construction programme and produce 2-week look-ahead schedules
- Coordinate procurement schedules and ensure site resourcing is maintained
- Act as the key client-facing representative on site and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
- Ensure commercial performance is maximised through cost control and value engineering
- Maintain accurate site records, diaries and reporting documentation
- Chair weekly site meetings and produce monthly internal and client reports
What We’re Looking For
- Strong background in civil engineering within a contractor environment
- Experience delivering projects in regulated environments such as utilities or water
- Knowledge of NEC or JCT contracts
- Strong understanding of CDM regulations, design management, programme and risk management
- Experience with cost control, forecasting and commercial reporting
- Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- CSCS card
- SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely certification and Temporary Works Coordinator certification
- Experience with confined space environments
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
Desirable
- CEng MICE or working towards chartership
- Experience using Primavera P6
- Strong knowledge of both NEC and JCT contract forms
