Senior Estimator – Tier 1 Fit‑Out Contractor – Office‑based in Central London
I’m currently partnering with a well‑established Tier 1 fit‑out contractor that is experiencing a sustained period of growth following continued success in securing major projects.
As part of this expansion, they are looking to appoint a Senior Estimator into a newly created, business‑critical role. This is a strategic hire and sits firmly at the senior end of the pre‑construction function.
The Role
This is a visible, influential position, suited to an experienced estimator currently operating within the Tier 1 fit‑out space who enjoys leading bids, shaping strategy, and mentoring teams.
The successful individual will take ownership of major tenders and play a central role in the ongoing evolution of the estimating function. Longer term, there is a clear pathway to stepping into a leadership role overseeing estimating across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and managing major fit‑out tenders from enquiry through to submission
- Owning pricing strategy, risk allowances, value engineering, and margin optimisation
- Managing, mentoring, and developing members of the estimating team
- Working closely with pre‑construction, commercial, delivery, and supply chain teams
- Engaging with the supply chain to secure competitive and robust pricing
- Providing senior input into bid strategy, reviews, and lessons learned
- Supporting senior leadership with forecasting, workload planning, and resource planning
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of estimating systems and processes
About You
- Strong senior estimating experience within a Tier 1 fit‑out contractor environment
- Experience leading or mentoring estimators
- Commercially astute, with a strong grasp of risk and opportunity
- Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders
- Ambitious, motivated, and keen to take long‑term ownership of a function
