The Software (CE-SW) group is responsible for developing and improving the software ecosystem around Arm’s next generation architectures and systems. This means working with processors and other hardware technology not yet available to the public. You will join a team of Software Engineers who share a passion for leaving their mark on the future of computing.
Job Overview
Are you interested in working on pioneering compiler technology as part of our team of dedicated engineers working with the wider LLVM community? We have an opening for an exciting and varied role in our FuSa Toolchain team.
In this role, you will contribute to the development of our commercial Functional Safety compiler toolchain and libraries. Previous experience working with LLVM or functional safety projects is desirable but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Develop our commercial C/C++ toolchain and libraries used in safety projects.
- Extend our automated test frameworks.
- Produce safety documentation.
Required Skills and Experience
- Excellent C/C++ programming skills with the ability to add significant new functionality, analyse and fix complex defects. Some knowledge of assembly and strong debugging skills are preferred.
- Expertise in application and low-level systems, with a strong understanding of system architecture (preferably Arm) and Operating System fundamentals.
- Application of software methodologies, tools, and processes, including code review.
- Strong interpersonal skills; excellent written and spoken English.
Nice To Have Skills and Experience
- Compiler development, particularly LLVM.
- Low-level programming in Arm assembly.
- Expertise with git version control system.
- Test development using Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins.
- Educated to degree level or have similar proven experience.
