A high-growth, FinTech company is building intelligent, data-driven products to support businesses and consumers at scale across the UK and US. You will:

- Focus on business impact rather than lines of code
- Embrace DevOps culture: you build it, you run it
- Work effectively in cross-functional, autonomous teams
- Mentor other engineers and help raise the bar across the team
- Prefer simple, pragmatic solutions over unnecessary complexity
- Stay effective and organised in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
- Think broadly about how technical decisions affect the wider business
- Leverage Generative AI tools to improve productivity and decision-making
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience building AI or LLM-powered applications
- Knowledge of NLP or intelligent document processing
- Familiarity with vector databases (e.g. Pinecone, Weaviate)
- Experience with search platforms (e.g. OpenSearch, Elasticsearch)
- Exposure to agentic workflows or orchestration frameworks
- Awareness of MCP (Model Context Protocol)
The team is pragmatic and cloud-native. Current tooling includes:
- Languages: Python, TypeScript
- Testing: Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, pytest
- Cloud: AWS, GCP
- Infrastructure: Docker, ECS Fargate, Terraform
- CI/CD: GitHub Actions
- Collaborate: Pair programming and mission-driven squads
- Outcome-focused: Solve real user problems tied to business results
- Continuously improve: Fast feedback, learning-first mindset
- User-centric: Decisions driven by data and direct user insight
- Test-first: Outside-in testing with behaviour-focused scenarios
- End-to-end ownership: Lead features from idea to production
- Cloud-native: Automation-first, security by design
You’ll be part of an inclusive engineering culture that values:
- Diverse perspectives and open discussion
- Psychological safety and trust
- Teams that are engaged, motivated, and genuinely enjoy working together
What’s on Offer
- Hybrid working: Flexible, trust-based approach with optional in-person collaboration
- Work–life balance: 25 days holiday + bank holidays, enhanced family leave
- Compensation: Competitive salary plus equity
- Equipment: High-spec laptop (macOS or Ubuntu)
