Clinical Lead – Gynaecology Theatres

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our Gynaecology Theatres as a band 6 Clinical Leader. This position is for Poole Hospital site – but cross‑site working at Bournemouth Hospital may be expected.

As Clinical Lead you will:

  • Lead and motivate a united team, setting standards and promoting the best level of care possible.
  • Work cross‑site to manage and support the team and coordinate the department during the transformation between Emergency and Elective services in 2026/2027.
  • Report directly to the senior clinical lead, deputise in their absence and set excellent standards within the theatre setting, acting as a role model to the wider multidisciplinary team.

Base Location: UHD – Poole Hospital (cross‑site working at Bournemouth may be required)

Qualifications

  • NMC registered Nurse / HCPC Registered

Experience

  • Evidence of leading and motivating teams
  • Demonstrable experience within Theatres/Perioperative care environments

Knowledge

  • Demonstrable theoretical/clinical and practical knowledge of perioperative care speciality
  • Evidence of knowledge and managing staff through human policies and procedures
