Principal Geotechnical Engineer – London

London £50,000 – £60,000 (depending on experience)

One of Britain’s largest multi-disciplinary engineering companies are looking for a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to run the London team of talented engineering geologists to work on a mixture of slope stability, retaining walls, mining risk assessment, residential, high-rises, commercial and local authority projects.

You will be joining an established geotechnical set up within a future-thinking company focused on high working standards, innovative projects and being ever-expanding and setting the pace in the ground investigation industry in the South East.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the London geotechnical engineering team.
• Design and oversee projects involving slope stability, retaining walls, mining risk assessment, and a variety of construction projects.
• Prepare technical reports and design documents.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
• Work closely with stakeholders on high-rise, residential, commercial and local authority projects.

Qualifications

• Chartered or close to chartership.
• Geology or civil engineering degree.
• Full right to work permanently in the UK.
• Full driving licence.
• Strong geotechnical design skills.
• Experience in technical report writing.
• Team mentoring experience.
• Commutable to Central London.
