Account Director

Full‑Time, Permanent. Salary: Competitive + bonus + company car + fuel card. Working hours: 37.5 hrs, Monday to Friday. Location: Winnersh, RG41 5TP (Hybrid) + client sites.

Powerforce is seeking a commercially‑minded Account Director to lead one of our large‑scale, high‑profile accounts. This high‑level leadership role focuses on developing long‑term strategic plans, driving B2B business growth, and ensuring the operational success of our field management teams.

You will hold full accountability for P&L performance, stakeholder management, and the implementation of innovative solutions to enhance our customer’s market position.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Strategic Account Management: Develop and execute multi‑year strategic plans aligned with both customer objectives and company growth targets.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage the full P&L, including budgeting, financial forecasting, and accurate monthly reporting.
  • Team Leadership: Direct and inspire direct managers and a sales force, fostering a high‑performance culture and ensuring effective training and succession planning.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee field team operations to ensure internal processes are efficient and execution at client sites is best‑in‑class.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders, building sustainable, high‑value relationships.
  • Innovation & Tech: Drive the adoption of ERP systems and new technologies to streamline operations and provide a competitive advantage for the client.

What You’ll Bring To The Role:

  • B2B & Wholesale Expertise: Proven track record of managing large‑scale accounts within wholesale or B2B sales environments.
  • Commercial Acumen: Extensive experience in P&L management, financial modelling, and identifying revenue‑driving opportunities.
  • People Management: Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop management‑level direct reports.
  • Strategic Planning: Ability to translate market trends and industry data into actionable long‑term business plans.
  • Systems Proficiency: High level of competence with ERP systems and CRM data to drive decision‑making.
  • Communication: Strong negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at a senior executive level.
