Role: Management Consulting Manager – National Security

Location: London, Bristol, Cheltenham

Mobility: Up to 100%

Career Level: Manager

Working pattern: full-time or part-time

Clearance requirement: Applicants must hold current enhanced Developed Vetting (eDV) clearance aligned to a National Security organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead transformation projects across National Security clients.
  • Drive growth of consulting capabilities in the National Security practice.
  • Represent Accenture to clients, engaging senior stakeholders, advising, challenging and coaching as needed.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of clients’ businesses and lead issue‑based discussions grounded in clear business challenges.
  • Cultivate trust‑based client relationships.
  • Identify and address client business issues through root‑cause analysis and pragmatic, results‑driven problem‑solving techniques.
  • Use a human‑centred approach to solve problems, frame opportunities and achieve innovation through collaboration and co‑creation.
  • Be a people leader, creating an environment your people want to work in, and managing day‑to‑day team work.
  • Provide specialist advice and work closely with client leads and team members to deliver project outcomes.
  • Contribute to business development and sales, working with account teams to scope opportunities and develop compelling proposals.
  • Act as a career coach for team members, helping them develop and progress their careers.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5‑10 years’ consulting experience in a National Security environment.
  • Analytical problem‑solving skills and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Strategic thinking skills and the ability to bring insight to complex problems.
  • Experience designing and/or implementing operating models and organisational design.
  • Change management, business analysis, project, portfolio, product, programme and delivery management experience.
  • Experience driving new business through strategy, relationships and growth opportunities.
  • Ability to operate at all stages of a project/programme lifecycle, from proposal through to delivery, managing risks and working with senior client partners.
  • Working with data and technology in design or delivery of consulting services in National Security.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Additional Preferred Experience

  • In‑depth understanding of National Security landscapes.
  • Experience owning and managing relationships with senior leadership.
  • Trained in Change Management or Agile methodologies, programme or project management techniques (e.g. Prince2, Managing Successful Programmes) and/or a Design Thinking practitioner.
  • Experience using data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Qlik).
  • Exposure to a current technology platform (e.g. Cloud, CRM).
  • PowerPoint and Excel skills.
