Procurement Manager
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, ingredients, and packaging.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service level agreements to achieve best value.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance against KPIs (quality, cost, delivery).
- Conduct regular supplier reviews and audits.
- Identify and deliver cost‑saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety.
- Monitor commodity markets and manage price fluctuations.
- Prepare and manage procurement budgets and forecasts.
- Ensure all suppliers meet relevant food safety and quality standards (e.g., HACCP, BRC, ISO).
- Maintain full traceability of materials in line with regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Work closely with production, planning, and logistics teams to ensure material availability.
- Manage inventory levels, minimising waste and avoiding stockouts.
- Oversee supplier lead times and delivery schedules.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks (e.g., supplier dependency, disruptions).
- Develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in procurement within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Professional procurement qualification (e.g., CIPS) desirable.
