We have a fantastic opportunity for a Section Manager to join our Responsive Maintenance team, delivering repairs and maintenance services to our social housing partner across the Barnsley area. This is a key leadership role where you will manage a team of operatives and subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard while keeping customer satisfaction at the heart of everything you do.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of operatives delivering responsive repairs and maintenance
- Ensure works are completed within KPI targets,timescalesand quality standards
- Carry out pre- and post-inspections andprovidetechnical guidance
- Plan and programme works to maximise productivity and efficiency
- Support resolution of complex repairs and escalations
- Build strong relationships with client representatives and residents
- Ensure adherence to health & safety and company standards
- Provide coaching,supportand development to the team
- Monitorperformance and drive continuous improvement
Essential
- Experience in a supervisory or management role within repairs & maintenance
- Background in social housing or property maintenance
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Full UK drivinglicence
- SSSTS or SMSTS qualification
Desirable
- Trade background (e.g.carpentry, plumbing, multi-trade)
- Experience working on responsive repairs contracts
- Knowledge of KPIs and service delivery standards
