Want an opportunity to earn while you learn? We have two vacancies for Corporate Governance Apprentices based in our London office.

Corporate governance professionals play a key role in supporting companies to operate effectively, ethically, and in full compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.

As a Corporate Governance Apprentice at One Advisory, you will be supporting senior colleagues in providing expert governance advice and support to boards and executive teams across a range of markets and sectors, from established private groups to AIM‑listed tech startups to household name premium‑listed companies – and everything in between. You will gain insight into how companies and boards operate, and develop an understanding of effective governance structures which support robust decision‑making.

The role combines practical, on‑the‑job learning whilst working towards a Level 4 qualification in Corporate Governance.

The team:

During your apprenticeship, you’ll be part of the Governance team at One Advisory, part of FRP Advisory Group PLC. The Governance team boasts a diverse blend of CGI‑qualified (FCG and ACG), part‑qualified and trainee governance professionals, who bring a wide range of experience across different sectors.

You will have a dedicated line manager to support you through your apprenticeship journey.

Key responsibilities:

  • Preparing board meeting agendas and digital meeting packs
  • Preparing agenda cycles and corporate calendars
  • Preparing skeleton board minutes and following up on actions
  • Preparing induction packs for new directors
  • Drafting AGM Notices and related documentation
  • Undertaking routine compliance checks against applicable regulatory obligations, e.g. AIM Rules, Listing Rules
  • Reviewing annual report disclosures against applicable corporate governance codes
  • Maintenance of digital statutory books and records
  • Filing statutory and regulatory notifications with the relevant authorities (including Companies House)
  • Maintenance of Market Abuse Regulation (MAR) records
  • Technical research into client queries concerning legal, regulatory and governance matters
  • Supporting Board Evaluations

On successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will earn a foundational governance qualification accredited by the Chartered Governance Institute UK and Ireland (‘CGIUKI’).

  • Will be aged 18 or over by 7th September 2026
  • Are a recent school or college leaver who holds (or will achieve before September 2026) A-levels (or equivalent) at grade ABB or above
  • Achieved minimum of eight GCSEs (including English and Maths, at grade B/grade 6 or above).
  • Ambitious and enthusiastic, with a strong desire to learn about corporate governance
  • Adaptable, detail‑oriented, and confident using IT systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • A curious, proactive and positive approach
  • Committed to excellence and continuous improvement
  • Keen to work in a professional services environment
  • Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise effectively
  • A commitment to work at our Central London office four days a week
