Supplier Quality Engineer (12-month Fixed Term Contract)

Responsibilities

  • Participate as part of a geographically dispersed team of Supplier Quality Assurance Engineers and support global Supplier Quality visions and strategies.
  • Support the deployment and communication of established supplier quality strategies.
  • Support supplier qualification activities in cooperation with Purchasing and senior quality representatives.
  • Work collaboratively with the audit team and represent Siemens Healthineers in a supporting role during supplier audits.
  • Support supplier audits, including preparation, participation, and follow‑up actions, under the guidance of senior quality staff.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of Quality Assurance agreements and support implementation monitoring.
  • Contribute to supplier performance monitoring and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and a collaborative approach to quality activities.
  • Support the standardized supplier qualification process according to corporate guidelines (Ready for business).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related field).
  • Several years of experience in a Supplier Quality Engineering role for a medical device or highly regulated industry.
  • Travel may be required for this position: potentially 3-5%.
  • Understanding of FDA regulations and ISO 13485.
  • Audit experience or training preferred.
  • Leadership qualities and role model qualities demonstrated.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively.
  • Excellent high level oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates a willingness to collaborate across teams and job functions and ensures clear communication to support manufacturing and suppliers.
  • Adaptable and willing to take on new tasks and responsibilities.
  • Applies established quality requirements, specifications, and risk‑based methods in supplier activities.
