The purpose of this post:
Business Assurance
- Manage and develop the Business Assurance Agenda across the commodity to include; Value-add, Sustainability, Equality & Diversity, Information Governance, Quality and Business Excellence, Benchmarking, Staff Governance, Emergency Planning and Business Continuity.
- Monitor and advise the Senior Management Team of progress, improvements, and associated business plans to ensure the Business Assurance objectives are delivered.
Commodity Team Leader
- To assist the Deputy Head of Procurement & Commodity Manager in the execution of a comprehensive procurement service to NHS Lothian, with a particular emphasis on developing Business Assurance systems to optimise savings, ensure a robust inbound supply chain and other value dividends through business improvement and governance.
- To develop associated Planning and Management Information systems that clearly link commodity strategy to commodity spend and which have predictive modelling capability.
- To govern the implementation of National Procurement (NP) contracts, ensuring compliance and delivery of savings.
- To manage all tendering activity in a fully compliant manner.
