Job description

Kick‑start your career in Business Support!

A Centre of Excellence for Business Support, delivering a professional, high‑quality, flexible service for our customers.

If you’re keen to learn, enjoy helping others and want to grow your career, we’d love to hear from you.

What will your day look like?

As an apprentice, you’ll support internal and external customers by responding to everyday queries via email, telephone and face‑to‑face queries. Your work will be varied and could include helping with finance and invoicing, processing data and entering information into specialist systems, working with the recruitment team to develop & post adverts, taking meeting notes, using spreadsheets, supporting with DBS and customer face‑to‑face duties and more. No two days will be the same, and you’ll be supported to learn as you go.

Who are we looking for?

You’ll move between different teams across our People & Governance Service Area, where you will support and learn from colleagues across Recruitment, HR, Payroll and System Admin gaining valuable insight into how these key services operate. This role involves working with sensitive and confidential information, so being careful and accurate is really important. You don’t need to know everything on day one, we’re looking for someone who is keen to learn, communicates well and enjoys helping others.

You’ll be organised, pay attention to detail and be happy to ask questions, use your initiative and manage your time. Most importantly, you’ll enjoy working as part of a supportive team where you can build confidence, develop new skills and grow in your career.

Why join us?

You’ll build skills in administration, communication and problem‑solving, with hands‑on training and mentoring to support your development.

Joining our Central Business Support Service means becoming part of a supportive and collaborative team where your development really matters. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across a range of business areas.
