Overview
The Quality Assurance Manager will lead a team of Quality Improvement Officers, supporting commissioned adult social care providers across Manchester. The role ensures continuous quality improvement, partnership relationships, and effective communication with providers and senior stakeholders.
Working Hours and Contract
35 hours per week, Permanent Full‑Time, Hybrid working style.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Quality Improvement Officers, fostering teamwork and professional development.
- Engage daily with providers across the city to address escalations, support oversight, and recommend continuous improvement actions.
- Maintain partnership relations with all commissioned providers, ensuring high standards of care and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and promote market capabilities to meet the challenges of adult social care.
- Represent the department in senior meetings and external forums, showcasing outcomes and achievements.
- Conduct audit oversight, supervision, and workforce development for the Quality Improvement team.
- Prepare clear reports and communications, demonstrating impact and key findings.
- Support other Quality Assurance Managers when required to ensure coverage and continuity.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong understanding of adult social care provision, services delivery and operational challenges.
- Demonstrated experience managing a community‑based team of staff.
- Excellent communication, listening and report‑writing skills.
- Proven ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholders and lead through change.
- Right to work in the UK and eligibility for DBS clearance.
Employment Conditions
Casual Car User allowance is provided for occasional car journeys. A full valid driving licence is required if you will use your own vehicle for work purposes.
