IT Engineer/ Software Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities

• Support and maintain automated material handling systems and related software applications, including PLC and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Perform software programming and development using technologies such as PowerBuilder 7, C#, Visual Basic, C++, and C
• Manage and support database systems including Oracle, SQL Server, PL/SQL, and Transact-SQL
• Handle web-related technologies and services such as Microsoft IIS Management, XML, HTML, JavaScript, and web services
• Configure and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, and Virtual Private Networks (VPN)
• Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer support services
• Provide IT infrastructure support, including Windows operating systems, hardware, and software maintenance
• Deliver IT helpdesk support and provide both onsite and remote technical assistance
• Travel overseas when required to support project implementation, testing, commissioning, and customer support activities
• Carry out additional duties and projects as assigned

Key Objectives

• Deliver technical IT and software project support, including system testing and commissioning
• Provide ongoing software support to customers, including standby and on-call support when required

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of experience in software application support, particularly in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Material Flow Control (MFC) systems
• Strong knowledge of database systems such as Oracle and SQL Server, including database programming using PL/SQL and T‑SQL
• Familiarity with object-oriented programming languages such as C# and JavaScript, as well as Microsoft Visual Studio and SQL Server
• Good understanding of IT networks, hardware, software systems, and databases
• Able to work independently and support technical projects in a fast-paced environment
