Job Description:

Data Analyst – London (Hybrid) – Azure, Databricks, SQL, Power BI – Up to £55,000

You’ll join a collaborative Global Data Team where quality, governance and reliability really matter. There’s a genuine focus on doing things properly, building sustainable solutions, and giving people the flexibility and support they need to do their best work.

You will work with:

  • Business stakeholders, data stewards and data owners
  • Data Engineers, Product teams and Senior IT stakeholders
  • Azure‑based data platforms including Databricks, DLT and Delta tables
  • Data governance, migration and reporting initiatives across the business

What will be involved in the role:

  • Identifying data quality risks early through stakeholder engagement and domain understanding
  • Performing hands‑on data profiling, discovery and quality checks at source
  • Analysing root causes of data issues and driving corrective actions
  • Supporting data migration by validating mappings, transformations and scripts
  • Running reconciliation and post‑migration quality checks
  • Raising, tracking and resolving defects during trial loads and cutovers
  • Translating business needs into clear, measurable data quality requirements
  • Working with engineers to implement quality rules, constraints and monitoring
  • Designing and maintaining data quality KPIs, dashboards and alerts
  • Supporting governance practices, standards and continuous improvement

Key experience:

  • Strong experience with SQL, Python or similar for data analysis and validation
  • Hands‑on experience with Databricks, Delta Live Tables and data quality frameworks
  • Proven background in data profiling, cleansing, migration and reconciliation
  • Understanding of data pipelines and engineering best practices
  • Experience working with Power BI and data quality metrics
  • Good knowledge of data governance, standards and regulatory requirements
  • Comfortable working in Agile and Waterfall environments
  • Confident communicator able to work across business and technical teams
